About Us
Services
- One on One Training. This is a good option for solving behavioural issues as they arise. I will come to your home or have you bring your dog to mine for hourly sessions. I will work with both you and your dog over a specified number of sessions.
- Socialization Day Training. This is a good option for dogs who just need more exposure to the world. I will take your dog for a day or half day and work on getting them used to dogs, and people, and anything else they need help being comfortable around.
- Board & Train. This is a good option for when you are planning to be away. I will work with you to identify the behaviours and dynamics you want to change, and then spend your time away retraining your pup and building new habits. Upon your return we will work together on making these changes stick.
- The Island of Misfit Dogs. Vacations for your pet at a cottage in the 1000 islands. Featuring swimming, canoeing, and belly rubs on the dock. Limited spaces available. To get on the waitlist contact me for dates.

After receiving your email I will arrange a call when we can discuss your goals. At that time I will discuss the packages and options we offer. Misfit Dogs also works pro bono with many dog rescues.
History
I have been training dogs for more than 20 years in the Greater Toronto Area. My focus is on fixing behavioural issues that are interfering with your quality of life with your companion. Misfit Dogs trains both humans and dogs how to communicate their needs so that the relationship can be as strong as possible. For the last several years I have been specializing in rescues, pandemic pets, and dogs with trauma. My goal is to allow these animals to regain trust in humans. All dog misbehaviour has a root cause and working with the dogs that are hardest to reach informs my approach to solving behavioural problems. The greatest reward in unpacking why dogs act out comes from seeing them (re)discover their inner good natures.
